About Us

New Horizons Medical is an outpatient Substance Use and Mental Health Clinic licensed by the Department of Public Health and BSAS.
We provide treatment services for mental health and unhealthy substance use including psychotherapy, integrated lab testing, and medication management.

Beginning of our history

New Horizons Medical, PC was founded in 2009 as a private physician group dedicated to providing the safe prescription of buprenorphine (Suboxone) to the patients engaged in serious recovery efforts from opiate dependence. Since then, along with the other services, we provide compassionate care to all individuals regardless of the reason or history or the addiction.

New Horizons Medical, Inc. was founded in 2009 in Brookline, Massachusetts by Dr. Yanants Antonevich to help people overcome opioid addiction.

At New Horizons Medical, we believe in the power of healing and the importance of providing compassionate care to those in need. We are dedicated to improving the lives of our patients by offering evidence-based treatment and utilizing the latest medical advancements. We are committed to ethical and responsible conduct in all of our actions, and strive to be a trusted leader in the medical community. We are dedicated to making a difference in the world and will always put the needs of our patients first.

About the Founder

Originally from Latvia, Dr. Antonevich studied, volunteered, and worked in many countries around the globe. He was a highly professional and compassionate person who dedicated his life to helping people in need. Doctor Yanants Antonevich was among the first responders at Ground Zero on September 11, 2001, in New York City. Dr. Antonevich volunteered in Haiti after the devastating earthquake of January 12, 2010. Doctor Antonevich joined the medical professionals aiding the people of Ecuador after the disastrous earthquake of April 16, 2016.

Legacy

Yanants Antonevich, MD passed away unexpectedly on October 26, 2018, in Burlington, MA due to a rare post-operative sepsis. After this devastating event, his wife Oxana Antonevich took on the role of New Horizons Medical’s President. Since then, she is championing his vision and the core values of her beloved husband to this day.

Dr. Yanants Antonevich’s legacy continues to this day: the adored father of two boys; a wonderful and loving husband; a compassionate friend; a learned and talented professional; an honest and open man; and a wonderful example of a Human Being.

Holistic Addiction Treatment Services

New Horizons Medical is highly respected in the addiction medicine industry for the quality of care provided thus Dr. Antonevich’s plan became a great success. Since the clinic’s inception, the organization had expanded its services to treat unhealthy substance use, mental health disorders, and psychiatric diagnoses. New Horizons Medical has grown to six locations across Massachusetts. We help thousands of people every month to fight drug and alcohol dependence in our clinics.
